At Bryce Canyon we again took a shuttle bus up to the top of the mesa to view the canyon. Our first stop was to Inspiration Point which is the most popular viewing area. From this point you can see most of the canyon and its many differing views. The tall bulbous spires were named Hoodoos by the Indians long ago because they thought they were dead people. We saw one area where the washing of the water over centuries has left the canyon to look like an ancient city. For more information and geology about Bryce Canyon go to: http://www.travelwest.net/parks/brycecanyon/geology.html. There are links to all the National Parks in the west there also.
