The quaint Fishing Village of Halls Harbour in the Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia, Canada is known for extreme tides, The small fishing boats bob rhythmically with the calm swell at high tide while at low tide they lie beached on the floor of Halls Harbour. And finally a picture of what the tidal bore actually looks like. I just found this picture on the internet of what the actual Tidal Bore looks like. Further info about the tides can be found there.
