July 10, 2007
We left about 11 am after a quick lunch at home to head for NYC. Tonight we will go to a Broadway Show, Chicago. All we really know about it is that 2 of the main characters have been on the TV show Dancing With the Stars that we really like to watch. It is a musical mystery. We again rode to the city by bus. It only costs us 7.50 each one way (1/2 price for seniors) which is much cheaper than driving in and having to pay enormous prices to park the car. We walked around in Time Square and Rockefeller Center and shopped in some of the stores. It is a hot day and quite humid so we decided to find a place inside to sit for a while. The Rockefeller building has places to eat and shopping and a nice little area with tables so we just sat right down and read the books we brought along for a while. I, Sue, got bored, left Gene there to read and went shopping at the stores there in this building. These were upscale shops with upscale merchandise. It was fun to LOOK but that is all. We just hung around there until about 5 pm and then went to look and decided where we wanted to eat. We had a nice leisurely dinner then walked to the theatre. The show was nearly a sell-out. It was not as good as we had expected but was ok and we are glad we got to go to a Broadway show. We could not take pictures.
