Our next subway ride took us to the downtown area where we found the City Hall. We decided to go in to check it out upon entering the front door were stopped by an armed officer, asked what our purpose there was and told that we could not enter. So…we left. Just around the corner from the City Hall is the Brooklyn Bridge. It has a walking lane that goes across the river. We decided to take the walk. We walked as far as the first cable tower which is about 1/3 of the way across. It was quite warm but we had fun and the view from there is grand.
