Next we took a subway to Coney Island, a place when described always seems like a fantasy. It is a real place!! To get there the subway traveled through the East River Subway Tunnel and about 10 miles across Brooklyn to reach Coney Island. The beach is crowded with people as any one would expect. We did walk on it for a while. We try to do that on every beach just to say we were there. We do enjoy walking on the beach. Generally there is enough of a breeze coming off the ocean so that it is cool even though the sun may be very warm. The sun is quite warm today. Then we walked along the board walk checking out the shops along the way and the Amusement Park.
