Our last stop on the tour was Ground Zero of the World Trade Center. They have finally begun the building of the Memorial as the legal hurdles have been settled out of court. So there is not much to see at the site. A small kiosk is there with the names of those who died and some info and a picture of what the memorial will look like. However across the street is the St. Paul’s Trinity Church which sustained very little damage and provided unwavering hope and healing for those who were looking for survivors and cleaning up the rubble. It is now the temporary memorial for the World Trade Center. It is a very moving memorial.
